Foreign nationals (WNA) can independently apply for an Indonesian electronic visa (eVisa) through the website evisa.imigrasi.go.id. The Director of Immigration Traffic, Pramella Yunidar Pasaribu, stated that the entire eVisa application process, from filling out personal data to payment, can be completed on the website. "The evisa.imigrasi.go.id website is integrated with an online payment system, making it easy for foreign nationals to pay for eVisa from anywhere, similar to online shopping checkouts. They can use debit or credit cards bearing the Visa, Mastercard, or JCB logos. Just follow the payment instructions on the website," she explained. For credit card payments, foreign nationals are not required to use their own cards. They can use someone else's credit card, ensuring that the card's usage limit is still available. In addition to credit and debit card payments, Indonesian eVisa payments can also be made through a billing code. For this payment method, foreign nationals need assistance from an Indonesian citizen (WNI) as a guarantor or responsible party. This is because billing code payments use the Indonesian Rupiah currency and are facilitated by banks in Indonesia. Billing code payments can be made via ATMs, mobile banking, and e-commerce platforms that provide Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) payment services. "After the eVisa is paid, it will proceed to the issuance stage. For Electronic Visa on Arrival (eVoA), it is generally issued within 1x24 hours, while other types of visas are issued within four to five days, provided that the foreign national has met all the requirements," Pramella concluded. |
