ABTC is a Business Travel Card that is valid in APEC member economies that apply the APEC LTO scheme of 19 member economies. More details can be seen in the link APEC Business Travel Card

ABTC applications in Indonesia are intended for Indonesian citizens with qualifications:

  1. Bona fide businessmen with positions equivalent to directors and above who lead the company (proven by attaching a photocopy of the company's deed of establishment for document verification).
  2. The company must be a Limited Liability Company (PT), not CV, UD and so on (proven by attaching a photocopy of the Company's Business License (SIUP) for document verification).

ABTC application is done manually, by completing the required documents as specified.

 

ABTC application requirements for both New/Renewal include:

  1. Application form (please download the form at imigrasi.komodo-airport.com)
  2. Application letter from the company (addressed to the Director of Immigration Traffic Up. Head of Sub-Directorate of Visa) 
  3. Letter of recommendation from an association of entrepreneurs / professions (in the form of a letter of recommendation to the person concerned, not a card or sign of membership of a particular association)
  4. Bank Reference Letter with information on the balance of the last 3 months min Rp.500,000,000, - (individual personal account, not company / husband-wife or parent-child account)
  5. Photocopy of Passport with minimum validity of 2 years
  6. Proof of business travel for the last 6 months (photocopy of passport for the last 6 months, business trips at least 3 times)
  7. Police Record Certificate (SKCK) (minimum good behavior certificate issued by Polres/Polda) 
  8. Copy of Identity Card (occupation on the ID card must be representative of the business, such as self-employed or private employee)
  9. Old ABTC (for replacement) (if the old card is lost, attach a letter of loss from the police min. from Polres)
  10. 2 recent 3×4 color photographs (red background, formal attire and studio standard photo quality)
  11. Pay an immigration fee of Rp.2,500,000 (if the old card is lost/damaged and still valid, the immigration fee is Rp.3,500,000).
  12. Attach a signature using a large whiteboard marker to be uploaded to the system.
  13. Attach a letter of assignment and identification from the company for those who represent ABTC management.

 

For applicants domiciled outside Indonesia, additional requirements include:

  1. Copy of proof of domicile in the local country;
  2. For association recommendation letter, bank ref. letter and police record certificate must be issued by the country where the applicant resides;
  3. Point 2 requirements are legalized at the Indonesian Embassy in the country where the applicant resides.

 

Requirements for reprinting cards due to loss/damage:

  1. Application letter (addressed to the Director of Immigration Traffic)
  2. Loss certificate from the police (for lost cards)
  3. Old card (for damaged ones)
  4. Photocopy of passport
  5. Applicant's signature with large marker
  6. Power of Attorney Cost Rp.3,500,000
  7. Estimated process 1-2 months

The applicant will be scheduled to attend for the making of the Minutes of Examination

 

Card reprint requirements due to passport replacement/country addition:

  1. ABTC Card Reprint Application Letter (addressed to the Director of Immigration Traffic up. Head of Sub-Directorate of Visa)
  2. Old card
  3. Photocopy of new passport
  4. Applicant's signature with a large marker
  5. Power of Attorney
  6. Cost Rp.2,500,000

Estimated process 1-2 months

The validity period of the reprint card is the same as the old card or the rest of the 5 years from the printing of the initial card.

 The fees for ABTC are as follows:

  1. Pay an immigration fee of Rp. 2,500,000, - (two million five hundred thousand rupiah), and
  2. If the card is lost or damaged and the card is still valid then the immigration fee to be paid is Rp. 3,500,000, - (three million five hundred thousand rupiah).

The turnaround time for the ABTC process is about 6 months or more. The length of the process depends on the approval of 18 other ABTC member countries. Meanwhile, the validity period of ABTC since September 2015 is 5 years and does not exceed the validity period of the passport.

ABTC can be applied for at the Visa Sub Directorate of the Directorate of Immigration Traffic on the ground floor of the Directorate General of Immigration Building Jl. H.R. Rasuna Said Blok. X-6 KAv. 8 Kuningan, South Jakarta
