Jakarta, April 4, 2024 – During the Eid al-Fitr 1445 H holidays and collective leave from April 8 to 15, 2024, Immigration Offices across Indonesia will be temporarily closed. The public is advised to complete any immigration-related matters before Friday, April 5, 2024, to avoid a surge in passport applications after the holidays. The Secretary of the Directorate General of Immigration, Sandi Andaryadi, emphasized several important points for both Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals planning to handle immigration services: 1. Complete Passport Matters Before the Holiday Individuals needing to process new passports, renew expired ones, or update personal information should do so before April 5, 2024. 2. Utilize Same-Day Passport Service for Urgent Needs Immigration offices offer an expedited passport service that completes processing within a day. This service is available at all immigration offices for a fee of Rp. 1,000,000, plus the passport booklet fee of Rp. 350,000 for a regular passport and Rp. 650,000 for an electronic passport. 3. Collect Passports Before the Holidays Those who have completed passport processing should collect their passports before April 5, 2024. Immigration offices will be closed during the Eid al-Fitr holidays and will reopen on April 16, 2024. 4. Reschedule Appointments via M-Paspor Individuals with passport appointments scheduled after the holidays but who are still out of town can reschedule through the M-Paspor application. 5. Emergency Services Hotline For urgent needs, such as passport processing for medical treatment abroad, the public can contact the hotline of the nearest Immigration Office. Sandi also noted that to avoid overstays, especially for foreign nationals managing their stay permits, it's crucial to address these matters before the holidays. The submission and extension of visas through evisa.imigrasi.go.id will also be temporarily unavailable during the Eid al-Fitr holidays. However, services such as departure and arrival inspections at immigration checkpoints across Indonesia, as well as electronic visa on arrival (e-VoA) and electronic visit stay permits (e-ITK), will continue to operate.
