JAKARTA – The Directorate General of Immigration has provided mobile immigration service vehicles to immigration offices in the provinces of Banten, West Java, and Central Java. These vehicles enable immigration offices to offer additional passport service quotas and serve the public through mobile units that operate as needed. "We have observed a continuous increase in public interest in obtaining passports. Beyond Jakarta, enthusiasm is also high in Banten, West Java, and Central Java. Therefore, we are deploying these mobile immigration service vehicles until the end of 2024 to bring services closer to the community and facilitate easier access to passports," stated Felucia Sengky Ratna, Director of Immigration Traffic, on Monday, April 29, 2024. Sengky explained that the mobile immigration service vehicles cater exclusively to new passport applications and passport renewals. However, passport replacements due to damage or loss must be processed at the immigration office. For information regarding service locations, operating hours, and available quotas of the mobile immigration services, the public is encouraged to contact the nearest immigration office through their official social media channels or via phone/WhatsApp. In addition to passport services, the public can also consult with officers about other immigration services at these mobile units.
