Visitor Stay Permit (ITK) can be granted to:

  • Foreign Nationals holding a Visitor Visa at the Immigration Checkpoint (TPI);
  • Foreign Nationals entering Indonesia with a Visa on Arrival (VoA) at the Immigration Checkpoint;
  • Newborns in Indonesia whose father and/or mother are holders of Visitor Stay Permits at the nearest Immigration Office by bringing the child's passport, birth certificate, parents' passports, and parents' Visitor Stay Permits;
  • Foreign Nationals using Visa Exemption facilities at the Immigration Checkpoint.
  • Foreign nationals serve as crew members of a means of transport anchored or present in Indonesia at the Immigration Checkpoint.
  • Foreign Nationals entering Indonesia under emergency circumstances at the Immigration Checkpoint.

Extension of Visitor Stay Permit (ITK) can be granted to holders of Single-Entry Visitor Visa, Multiple-Entry Visitor Visa, and Visa on Arrival (VoA).

Scanned copies of:

  1. passport or valid travel document;
  2. letter of guarantee from the same sponsor submitted when applying for the visa (if using a sponsor);
  3. statement letter explaining the purpose and intention of staying in Indonesia.

If the applicant is submitting a different sponsor, they must include:

  1. a signed statement letter by the Foreign National expressing objection and unwillingness to be guaranteed by the previous sponsor;
  2. a release of a guarantee statement letter from the previous sponsor.

  2. Taking a photograph
  3. Verification of immigration fee payment in accordance with the regulations
  4. Approval from the Head of the Immigration Office or the designated Immigration Officer
  5. Issuance of the Visitor Stay Permit (ITK)

 

  • For applicants from countries on the calling visa list, the application will be forwarded to the Director General of Immigration, and the decision of approval/rejection will be communicated to the Head of the Immigration Office where the application was submitted.
  • The Immigration Office will electronically notify the Foreign National, Sponsor, or Responsible Party that the application documents have been received.
  • If the attached documents contain errors or deficiencies, the Immigration Office will electronically notify the Foreign National, Sponsor, or Responsible Party to rectify or complete them within 2 days from the date of the notification. The application will only be accepted if updates are made during this period.

  • The processing time is a maximum of 3 working days from the date the immigration payment is received. 
  • For countries on the calling visa list, it is completed within a maximum of 5 working days from the date the electronic application is received by the Directorate General of Immigration.
  • The approved Visitor Stay Permit will be electronically sent to the Foreign National or sponsor upon completion of the processing.

  • The extension of the Visitor Stay Permit (ITK) is handled by the immigration office, whose jurisdiction covers the residence of Foreign Nationals.
  • ITK extension should be applied for at least 14 days and no later than before the expiration of the current ITK.
  • A Foreign National is not considered overstaying if the extension fee for the ITK is paid before its expiration.
  • The extension period for ITK starts counting 1 day after the expiration of the previous ITK.

  • ITK for 30 days: Rp500,000 per application
  • ITK for 60 days: Rp2,000,000 per application
  • ITK for 180 days: Rp6,000,000 per application
