A child, an Indonesian citizen who loses Indonesian citizenship in the territory of Indonesia as regulated in Article 41 of Law Number 12 of 2006 concerning Citizenship, who has not registered or has registered but has not chosen citizenship as regulated in Article 6 of Law Number 12 of 2006 concerning Citizenship, residing in the territory of Indonesia, and does not have any other stay permit.
Documents Required
The submission is submitted through the application by attaching:
- legal and valid National Passport;
- a signed statement of integration by the individual;
- guarantee proof from the sponsor;
- other documents explaining the purpose/objective or status of the Foreign Nationals, such as:
- birth certificate translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except if it is already in English; and
- Marriage certificates or parents' marriage books are translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator, except if it is already in English.
The application for ITAP must be submitted within a maximum period of 14 days from the occurrence of the legal event resulting in the loss of Indonesian citizenship in the territory of Indonesia and residing in the territory of Indonesia.
Procedures
- Acceptance of application submission
- Taking a photograph
- Verification of immigration fee payment in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations
- The Head of the Immigration Office forwards the application to the Director General of Immigration
- Granting of Permanent Stay Permit by the Directorate General of Immigration
Note:
- The Immigration Office will send an electronic notification to the Foreign National, Sponsor, or Responsible Party confirming the receipt of the application documents.
- If the attached documents contain errors or deficiencies, the Immigration Office will electronically notify the Foreign National, Sponsor, or Responsible Party to rectify or complete them within a maximum of 2 days from the date of the notification. The application will be rejected if no updates are made after this period.
Processing Times
- The application is forwarded by the Head of the Immigration Office to the Director General of Immigration within a maximum period of 3 working days from the receipt of the immigration fee. The Director General of Immigration decides within a maximum of 5 working days from the date the application is received by the Director General of Immigration.
- The virtual Permanent Stay Permit is sent electronically to the Foreign National, Sponsor, or Responsible Party.
