  • Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP) can be extended indefinitely and is granted based on a request. 
  • The application for ITAP extension can be submitted no earlier than 3 months and no later than the day ITAP expires to the Head of the Immigration Office in the jurisdiction covering the residence of the Foreign Nationals.
  • The extension of ITAP is granted from the date of ITAP expiration. 
  • ITAP extension applications that have been submitted and the immigration fee payment made before the ITAP expiration date are not considered as overstaying if the processing of the application extends beyond the ITAP period.

The document requirements for extending ITAP are the same as the document requirements for applying for a Temporary Stay Permit (ITAS) with the same visa index, with some adjustments, including:

  • does not require a minimum validity period for a valid and still effective National Passport;
  • does not require proof of living expenses for the Foreign National;
  • For the extension of the Permanent Stay Permit that requires a commitment statement, it must also be accompanied by proof of fulfilling the commitment in the form of:
  1. bank statements for the last 3 months;
  2. updated company deed;
  3. latest property tax (Pajak Bumi Bangunan) receipt;
  4. latest financial report;
  5. latest corporate tax payment receipt;
  6. recent income statement;
  7. latest bond certificate;
  8. updated stock ownership;
  9. Other evidence that explains ownership in the name of the Foreign Nationals and supports the intention or purpose to stay in the territory of Indonesia.

  1. Acceptance of application submission
  2. Taking a photograph
  3. Verification of immigration fee payment in accordance with statutory regulations
  4. The Head of the Immigration Office forwards the application to the Director General of Immigration
  5. Granting of Permanent Stay Permit by the Directorate General of Immigration

Note:

  • The Immigration Office will electronically notify the Foreign National, Sponsor, or Responsible Party that the application documents have been received. 
  • If there are errors or deficiencies in the attached documents, the Immigration Office will electronically notify the Foreign National, Sponsor, or Responsible Party to rectify or complete them within a maximum of 2 days from the notification date. The application will only be accepted if updates are made during this period.

  • The application is forwarded by the Head of the Immigration Office to the Director General of Immigration within a maximum period of 3 working days from the receipt of the immigration fee. The Director General of Immigration decides within a maximum of 5 working days from the date the application is received by the Director General of Immigration.
  • The virtual Permanent Stay Permit is sent electronically to the Foreign National, Sponsor, or Person in charge.

  • ITAP for 5 years: Rp5,000,000 per application
  • ITAP for 10 years: Rp10,000,000 per application
  • ITAP for an indefinite period: Rp15,000,000 per application
  • Re-entry Permit (IMK)
