JAKARTA – The Directorate General of Immigration has again recorded the highest Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) achievement in history with a total of IDR 9 trillion, or 150% of the targeted PNBP figure, which is IDR 6 trillion. The largest PNBP contribution came from visa services of IDR 5.03 trillion, followed by passport services of IDR 2.49 trillion, and other immigration services of IDR 1.4 trillion.
“Compared to 2023, PNBP in 2024 as a whole increased by 18.39%. The largest increases in PNBP are from visa services (23.8%) and passport services (18.5%),” said Minister of Immigration and Correctional Affairs, Agus Andrianto.
The increase in PNBP was driven by the Visa on Arrival policy, which is currently implemented for 97 countries and certain entities, Agus continued. Previously, many of those countries were the subjects of Visa Exemption (BVK) with a validity period of 30 days. In addition, the Directorate General of Immigration is continuously developing digitalization of services, so that business processes run more effectively and efficiently.
Agus also expressed his appreciation to all Immigration employees for their great performance and hard work, so that Immigration can significantly exceed the PNBP target. He emphasized that Immigration is committed to providing excellent public services to the community, even during holidays.
"This achievement is the result of Immigration’s hard work. Some Immigration officers, especially those on duty at airports, seaports, border areas and special passport service units, also works during the weekends and national holidays to ensure that the public continues to have access to immigration services," he said.
Agus explained that digitalization of immigration services, innovation in all lines and the implementation of Visa on Arrival as a replacement for the Visa Exemption policy contributed greatly to the high achievement of PNBP this time. As part of the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Affairs, the Directorate General of Immigration plays a crucial role in maintaining national security. Immigration also functions as a facilitator of national economic development and simultaneously implements policies that support a conducive investment climate.
"In accordance with the philosophy of the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Affairs - Guard and Guide, immigration law enforcement will remain our focus in addition to performance in the service sector. This is to ensure that only genuine foreigners can come and live in Indonesia. We will also continue to innovate and improve service efficiency to encourage more optimum PNBP achievements in the future," concluded Agus.
