Immigration Serves Passports for 1,075 Applicants at GBK and Simpatik Passports Throughout Indonesia
JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Immigration will provide passport services for 1,075 applicants at the East Parking Plaza of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Senayan, Central Jakarta on Sunday, January 19, 2025. The service is provided on the 75th anniversary of Immigration which will fall on 26 January. People applying for passports must first register on the M-Passport application, by selecting the service location "1,075 Passports Service (GBK East Parking)".
"The passport service quota at GBK has been open since 2 January 2025 in the M-Passport application, and will continue to be open until it is full. The passport services provided at GBK are for first-time passports and passports renewal. The types of passports issued are laminated-sheet electronic passports and polycarbonate-sheet electronic passports," said Director of Visas and Travel Documents, Tato Juliadin Hidayawan, Saturday (04/01/2025).
Not only residents of Jakarta and its surroundings, people throughout Indonesia can also access the Simpatik Passport service at the nearest immigration office. This service is open every Saturday during January (four times), until 25 January 2025, with the number of quotas adjusted to the capacity of each immigration office. Tato explained that to access the Simpatik Passport service, people can apply through the M-Passport application or come in person (walk-in). However, the walk-in services will be provided for priority groups (elderly, pregnant women, babies and toddlers, and people with special needs).
People applying for passports at GBK can also visit the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) outlets participating in the Immigration Festival (Imifest). In addition, free health services are also available in the form of consultations with doctors, blood pressure and blood sugar levels checks. On the same day, the Directorate General of Immigration also held an Immigration Run (Imirun) whose participation is open for the general public.
Tato reminded that people whose passports are lost or damaged cannot be served during the passport service at GBK and Passport Simpatik on Saturday at immigration offices. "We hope that the 1,075 passport services at GBK and Passport Simpatik throughout Indonesia will provide convenience and comfort for the public. Residents of other areas in Indonesia who want to access Passport Simpatik services can confirm with the relevant immigration office regarding the availability of passport quotas," ended Tato.
