Immigration Provides Visa and Stay Permit Consultation Services in Foreign Representatives Coordination Meeting

BOGOR - 140 delegates from Foreign Representatives in Indonesia attended the Foreign Representatives Coordination Meeting held by the Directorate General of Immigration in Sentul, Bogor on Wednesday (14/05).  This meeting was held to convey the latest information regarding immigration policies.  The event was attended by the Director of Immigration Cooperation and Guidance of Representatives, Felucia Sengky Ratna, as well as high-ranking officials within the Directorate General of Immigration, and the Director of Diplomatic Facilities from the Directorate General of Protocol and Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sayu Oka Wadani.    

Ambassadors present included Ambassador Tean Samnang from Cambodia, Ambassador Fekadu Beyene Aleka from Ethiopia, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Afghanistan Mawlawi Sadullah Baloch, Ambassador of Kenya - Galma Mukhe Boru, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Iraq - Dr. Ammar Hamees Saadallah Al-Khalidy, the Chargé d'Affaires - Roshan Lal from Pakistan, and Ambassador Dagmar Gonzalez Grau from Cuba.    

Socialization regarding the latest visa and stay permit policies was one of the focuses of this meeting, presented in the form of a panel discussion.    

"This Coordination Meeting is an opportunity for us to connect with Foreign Representatives. In addition, of course, to provide updates on visa and stay permit policies. Besides the fact that there are some new regulations, it is also to refresh information on previous policies such as the Golden Visa and Bridging Visa," explained the Director of Immigration Cooperation and Guidance of Representatives, Felucia Sengky, on Wednesday (14/05) while opening the event.    

The next event continued with a panel discussion on Immigration Supervision and Law Enforcement, as well as technical legal assistance in cross-border civil cases (Rogatory).  In this session, the Head of the Immigration Supervision Team Region II of the Directorate General of Immigration - Arief Adi Prayogo and the Head of the Sub-Directorate of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yoshi Iskandar, were the speakers.    

The closing session of this activity was a coaching clinic on immigration services, featuring facilitators from the Directorate of Visas and Travel Documents and the Directorate of Immigration Stay Permits.  In this session, Foreign Representatives could directly consult on the obstacles faced by their citizens in applying for visas and stay permits in Indonesia.    

The latest information in English regarding immigration services, accessible through the official Instagram account of the Directorate General of Immigration @indonesiaimmigration, was also conveyed to the Foreign Representatives.    

Regarding this matter, the Acting Director General of Immigration, Yuldi Yusman, stated, "Through this coordination meeting, we hope that foreign representatives will gain a comprehensive understanding of the latest immigration policies in Indonesia, so as to facilitate various immigration affairs and strengthen good relations between Indonesia and friendly countries," Yuldi concluded.
