East Java Immigration Organizes Passport Service with 1,079 Quotas

SURABAYA - The Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration of East Java, in collaboration with the East Java Regional Police, is holding the "Service Festival: 1079 Passports for the Nation" ("Semarak Pelayanan: 1079 Paspor untuk Negeri") on Monday and Tuesday, June 23 and 24, 2025, at the Mahameru Building, East Java Regional Police Headquarters. This service is part of a series of events commemorating the 79th Bhayangkara Day on July 1, 2025.

The passport service is open from 08:00 to 16:00 WIB for two days. A total of 1,079 passport quotas are available, with a breakdown of 579 quotas on the first day and 500 on the second.

"People who want to apply for a passport can come directly without needing to make a reservation through the M-paspor application beforehand," explained the Head of the East Java Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration, Novianto Sulastono. He added that this passport service is expected to provide easier access for the public while strengthening public trust in the performance of government agencies.

The public can apply for new passports and replacements in this program, but cannot apply for replacements of lost or damaged passports. For new passport applications, applicants must bring original documents such as KTP (ID card), Kartu Keluarga (Family Card), birth certificate, diploma, or marriage certificate. For passport replacement, it is sufficient to bring a KTP and the old passport. Passports for children require additional documents such as the parents' KTPs, Family Card, the child's birth certificate, and a marriage certificate. People wishing to participate in this program are required to bring original documents, photocopies, and a 'materai' (stamp duty) to expedite the service process on-site.

"This collaboration not only shows that government institutions can work together strategically, but also serves as an example of how public services can be packaged with a spirit of togetherness during important moments like Bhayangkara Day," concluded Novianto.
